Mount Snow Real Estate and Southern VT – January 25, 2012

2012 is upon us, and though some may fear the coming year thanks to the Mayans, I say if it brings skiing like this, who can truly complain. Mount Snow is open and the skiing and riding is tremendous! Not to mention the amazing Bluebird Lift which actually makes you warmer as you ride to the top of the mountain. I tried it out for the first time on Friday and I have to say that it changes the skiing experience!

For those summer Vermonters, the Tough Mudder May is already completely booked and we’re expecting 45,000 people to converge on the area
during mudseason. If you were planning on coming but haven’t reserved a spot, don’t let that get you down, they have added a second Tough Mudder competition at Mount Snow in July. It’ll be hotter, but just as fun and again a great boon for the area.

Haystack Ski Mountain is having its official opening gala this weekend including free skiing, tubing, ice skating, sleigh rides, food, music, and more. We should see Wilmington property values benefit from having another ski area locally.

Sales are through the roof this winter and the deals are out there. Sellers are more realistic about pricing competitively, and it shows.
